Last year:
On May 5, 2007, Oscar De La Hoya, also known as the Golden Boy stepped into the ring to fight Floyd Mayweather, Jr. The hype for this fight was unbelievable.
Not only did Oscar claim that he would defeat Mayweather, he said he would do it in honor of the "Cinco De Mayo".
Mayweather mocked Oscar and the day of the fight, Mayweather even wore a sombrero.
When it came down to the fight Oscar was definitely not fighting to the best of his abilities.
He put the honor of a Mexican holiday in disgrace.
Now, I have followed Oscar since early in his career and I know for a fact that he could have defeated Mayweather. Anybody who saw the fight would have noticed that Oscar "sold-out".
Oscar started to fight and act like he wanted to win in the last two or three rounds- what for?
It was too late anyway.

This Year:
On May 3, 2008, Oscar once again stepped into the ring, but this time he fought Steve Forbes.
Steve?......Forbes?.....Steve who???
Oscar had the audacity to "show-off" during this fight and obviously, Oscar won.
My question is, why didn't he win against Mayweather?
No disrespect to Forbes, but Oscar had to win against Forbes. Forbes has less experience that this "Ten-time world champion" and Oscar is barely getting on his game?
This is sad, I see Oscar as a bully and now he wants to call out Mayweather again.
De La Hoya- you have lost my respect for you.
YOU HAVE NO HONOR!!!
